Mrs. Kelly Coyle, Head of School
Mrs. Kelly Coyle is Head of School at Colquitt Christian Academy. In addition to administrative responsibilities, she teaches several classes including math and science. Mrs. Coyle received her undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-Med at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. During this time she began considering a career in education thus went on to receive her Master’s degree in Education, also from Samford University. Upon graduating in 2001, Mrs. Coyle spent three years in education teaching fourth-grade, preschool and educational technology. An opportunity arose for Mrs. Coyle to be Assistant Director of Vestavia Baptist Church Child Development Center in Birmingham. After a year and a half, the Coyle family moved to Moultrie, GA for her husband, Mike, to take on a management role at International Forest Company. Mrs. Coyle has worked for the Colquitt County Board of Education as a teacher since 2007 and was challenged by colleagues, students, and families to be the very best teacher she could be. Through these years, however, the Christ-centered aspect previously incorporated into her private college setting was missing. The lack of having education combined with biblical teaching left Mrs. Coyle searching for more from her profession. The opportunity to help found and lead a startup school like Colquitt Christian Academy is her calling. She is passionate about incorporating her education background, leadership skills, and Christian upbringing to make Colquitt Christian Academy successful at educating students in the Classical model that suits children best. Mrs. Coyle and her husband have three children, Gracie, James, and Elizabeth. She enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Coyle is a member of Trinity Baptist Church were she serves on the children's committee.
