Mr. York grew up in neighboring Thomas County and received his primary and secondary education in local public schools. Upon graduating from Colquitt County High School, he continued his academic pursuits at Covenant College and Valdosta State University, graduating from the latter in 2019. Mr. York has taught Junior and Senior Thesis, Ancient and Modern Literature, Bible, History and Logic at CCA since 2019. A favorite quote of Mr. York is from C.S. Lewis in "The Weight of Glory," “there are no immortals, as the designation of mortality pertains to everything except human beings, nations, cultures, and the work of our hands. On the
contrary, humans are immortal creatures, each destined for either eternal glory or horror, a sobering reality that underscores the significance of our actions and their enduring impact
throughout eternity.” It is with this profound understanding in mind that I approach my role as an educator, reflecting daily on the eternal implications of my teaching and the responsibility entrusted to me in shaping the minds and hearts of your child.
